Since the founding of the PALOS VERDES CONCOURS D'ELEGANCE in 1992, the Concours' mission has been to create a world-class show of classic, vintage historical, and special-interest automobiles, to provide funds for charitable and community purposes and to promote the beauty and opportunities of the Palos Verdes Peninsula. The past years have seen the PALOS VERDES CONCOURS D'ELEGANCE grow in stature among both the collectors and classic car aficionados. From the first Palos Verdes Concours held on the Ladera Linda soccer fields, followed by seven years on the football field of Peninsula High School, three years at Ocean Trails Golf Club, and for the past 3 three years at Rolling Hills Country Club. This year the 16th Annual Palos Verdes Concours d' Elegance returns to what is now Trump National Golf Club on the cliffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean. In this setting on the seven acre Founders Park, spectators will stroll among the finest prewar, postwar and specialty automobiles exhibited and competing in 25 classes. This years Featured Marque is Cadillac with a salute to the 100th Anniversary of General Motors. For a complete list of classes click on Classes. The renowned Reggie Jackson, Hall of Fame Major League basecall player and muscle-car collector will preside as Grand Marshal for the PALOS VERDES CONCOURS D'ELEGANCE. He will be honored at a gala charity dinner party at the Palos Verdes Tuscan Estate of Rose and Nick Colonna, on Friday, September 19, and on Sunday will exhibit a selection of his muscle-car collection, and will join a group of distinguished honorary judges to award special category trophies during the Councours Award Ceremony. Known for its warm hospitality and professionalism, the PALOS VERDES CONCOURS D'ELEGANCE continues to attract the top exhibitors in their class from all over Southern California and the western United States. |
